they say, don't judge a book by its cover.

This was hilarious (and informative)! I totally agree with the Liar back-jacket; simple and awesome. I also really like its spine as well. The title was easy to pick out and I liked the lime green fade.

What is the book with the green cover and the lighter? That one stands out to me on cover alone, but I love the teacups/blood of Slice of Cherry (and your description of it totally makes me want to read it). And the yellow spine gets me too - I obviously attracted by colours!

Fave book covers in my humble opinion (hardcover) The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate - so pretty in real life. And The Gates by John Connolly. Oh, and I got a copy of A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness this week and it's the scariest book cover ever (and scary illos throughout as well)

P.S As watched vlog, was thinking, 'I wonder if those books kept falling down.'

other EJ! ;) i totally agree about the Liar spine. it's bold and simple from far away, but up close, it repeats the tiny "i will not tell a lie" print on the spine too. very cool.

Gem, the cover with the lighter is Please Ignore Vera Dietz - another awesome cover and another image that's repeated on the spine.
interesting that you are attracted to the colors. Handsome (the graphic artist) was pointing out the way colors worked on all the covers to make them more visually appealing.
now i'm off to look up those covers you mentioned. :D

i LOVE the slice of cherry cover too. (although i haven't seen it in the flesh though)

also loving the lime green on covers!

we have a diff cover for LIAR in Australia. It's white and red. It is kind of funky but I'm liking your better.

also, you rocked the vlog. complete natural! concise and funny and unique :)

aw, thanks Naomi! and i've seen that aussie cover. i like the US one better too, visually, but i think your cover may be a better reflection of the story. she's lucky to have more than one awesome cover!
